Auros Saxophone Duo was born from the experience of performers Karem Alejandro Ruiz Rivas and interpret Chilean, classical and Latin American music through the saxophone.
His beginnings in 2006, includes recording Chilean saxophone music for the CD Confluencias - Chilean music for saxophones.
They have developed their musical career in Chile and the Netherlands, where they receive their education, besides appearing in major venues such as: Goethe Institut in Santiago de Chile, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, De Doelen in Rotterdam, Fentener van Vlissingenzaal, Vredenburg in Utrecht, Netherlands and others.
As for the repertoire, the duo of saxophones proposes the diffusion of classical, Latin American and Chilean repertoire adapted to the stylistic versatility of saxophones.
Auros covers a wide range of the family of saxophones, the soprano through saxophones, alto, tenor, baritone and bass.
